Since I got my VVL I perform 3 updates w/o any problem.

What TC talk about is a fuel harness, as he wrote those wires are from the tank sensor trough the Merc PCM.
On the Lowrance under Fuel you need to choose level sensor. See pic

Yes you can have fuel use but for my part I prefer fuel left and it’s quite accurate. I don’t mess with adding fuel in the settings
