I have a h-18 with same motor and run a 22" laser2 and it was night a day difference over any both powertechs I tried.
I wouldnt even mess with it until you get a good prop. Powertechs are only good for door stops IMO.
The regular core would be better for what you want to do but the mgfv would definitly be more versatile. The way I palm a reel the flipping paddles got in the way it might be something to think about.
What prop?
156-73 The USA scored 29 3's
Im not sure what bobs you have but some guys put basketballs, soccer balls etc in the plate to help flotation.
I would go with the regular core for that use. The are both great reels and you cant go wrong with either one.
What do you plan on using it for?
Thats a good price thats about as cheap as ebay gets.
I had to go and look :thumb up2:
I always hear about people removing talons but I have yet to see a boat with an empty bracket.

I used to use one like this for my fish tank
15570
Usually 7-8hrs I usually fish to about 1:30-2 any later and it gets to hot and takes some of the enjoyment out of it.
Atleast it serves a purpose.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to post that vid here.
A six inch is better then none but a 10" will give you about 2mph more then a 6. With a 10" you can get the same bow lift with less trim. The disadvantage might be 1" of draft because the engine is...
I think my transmission guy did something similiar I know he did NOT do a flush on it.
I had a tacoma with the same engine so Im going to assume same transmission and had the transmission fluid changed the first time at 120k and it was still going strong at 160k when I sold it.
To bad you cant find them anywhere I love the Clark Wendlant series.
My choices would be either powell endrance or falcon bucoo micro guide rods in that pricepoint.
You can go wrong ordering from the tackletrap.:thumb up2:
One of the best tasting fish there is its even better when you catch them yourself.
The boat I fished on only had one on the rear but I never had a problem with it.
