Actual rpm range for my 2017 175 xs is 5500-6000. Non 175 XS is 5250-5750$
Well tried a 25p Fury 3. Hit 71 Gps & 5900 rpms.
Dude I have the same set up except a 24 fury and a 5.5 or 6 inch hydraulic jack plate and I’m only getting 58
What are your rpm's, ptp & wp @ wot?
You should be much faster than that.
98 tr19
175xs
10" manual jp
2.5" ptp
25p Fury 3 no plugs
5900 rpm's @ 71 gps
3/4 fuel & port livewell full & just me tourney load
I know every boat is different. My 98 tr19 runs 24 & 25p Fury's at 2.5 ptp. No rooster tail. If your 25p Fury is blowing out on hole shot I would use 1 large open plug. I think I would try 3" ptp...
Just ran 25p Fury 3 on my 98 tr19 with 175xs. Ran 71 Gps @ 5900 rpms.
I am at 2.25 ptp & 15 psi at wot. It would be a little faster if I get past the wobble/chine. Have to back out.
1998 Tr19
175 xs
10" jp
24p TP
2.25 ptp
Wp 15 at wot
6150 rpm's at wot
69.6 gps
Ok my question is this. Right now with the 24 Tempest Plus I run 69.6 gps at 6150 rpm's. Would a 25 Tempest Plus benefit me?
98 tr19 with 2017 175 pro xs. 1/2 tank of fuel, full gear with me & a 24p Tempest Plus & a 10" jp. 6150 rpms at 69.5 gps.
Got her up to 69.5 gps.
I am over 10 hrs.
Just put 10" jp on. 2.5 ptp, wp 15/16 Running 67 gps at 5650/5700 rpms.
How did it run?
Having a 10" jp put on & rebuilding the seastar steering cylinder due to leaking fluid.
I got the rpms up to 5650 at 67.4 gps but had to back out due to walk. Ptp was 2.5 & wp at 16/17.
How fast are you running with the same boat?
I am fairly satisfied with it.
I am right at 2" ptp & wp is at 15/16 psi.
Ok I raised motor up again. I was turning 5650 rpm at 67 gps. Much better.
Raised motor up to 2.25 ptp. Rpms was 5500 & 65.4 gps.
My gps speed is 63 at 5400 rpm.
That's good news to hear. Waiting on my new rpm gauge to come in. It's looking like it may take me till June to get my break in finished.
Ok. Do you think the double pumping of oil brings rpms down some? By the way, what is your gps speed?
