I have 3 HDS units and display the voltage overlay on each unit on at least 1 screen panel to give me an indication of the battery's charge while fishing.
In garage today after noticing that the...
I get parts for my 1989 150 ProV from SIM Yamaha up in WI no problem.
Have also taken it to Marine Outlet in Temple for work I couldn't do - they're a Yamaha dealer. There's also Texas Boat World...
+1 This.
Plus the MK remote has a neck lanyard/belt clip to keep from dropping it overboard.
Wonder how many phones will get dropped overboard messing with the MK phone app?
My 3-in-1 2D works when on plane. It's mounted on the roof of my old Champion's hull step.
Run them at or just a bit less than max rated psi. Less sidewall flexing means less internal tire heat build up and better tire life.
My 184 will overflow it's livewell water over the livewell's top lip into the bilge and even out from under the livewell lids if the llvewell aeration pump timer is set to turn on too often.
My...
Same here. The 857 is a commercial trailer tire.
The Kumho 857's might be harder to find however than the new Goodyear Endurance which might be 2nd choice.
FYI - I used the RAM mount base that has U bolts that go around the rail. Not as stable as the Cisco mount with clamshell rail mount. The RAM mount U bolts had to be tightened down so much I was...
Texas is a big state. A Texas Champion Owners tournament outta be located in a more central area than east TX.
I'll second the Cisco mount with their thumbscrew rail mount. I use one for my HDS Carbon 12 and it's also solid. Had big RAM mount and the Cisco is better.

My 3 bank Dual-Pro Sportsman has been fine for 11+ yrs. Also Dual Pro's are repairable instead of throw-away if something ever does go wrong.
If it's any help - I've run 2 and now 3 HDS's off my Group 24 size cranking battery for many years. I use a 3 bank battery charger with one bank dedicated to the cranking battery to keep it fully...
Not a good idea to run the HDS's off a TM battery. Besides issues pointed out above - the TM battery voltage will drop as you run the TM during fishing. The HDS's won't stay on when voltage drops...
I've had both a Total-Scan and currently a 3-1 transducer mounted to the roof of my Champion's hull step.
I use one of the Sternsaver plates and it's epoxy for mounting the Sternsaver to a flat...
Curious - bait or gamefish in 20-50 range?
It's kinda hard to tell for sure - but it appears the transducer may be mounted directly behind a hull strake. There may be turbulence there that the transducer could "see".
Perhaps mounting it...
They're over dramatizing weather events in the quest for getting eyes-on viewership.
What happened to upright level flotation?
Seems the boat should have just filled up with water instead of rolling over pretty quickly like it did in slick water.
Another less obvious advantage with AGM's is they don't require adding water like wet cells.
If the battery is in a location that's difficult to access for adding water an AGM may be the answer.
One of my fishin' buddies and I both are seeing the same thing with both our HDS 7 Gen1's.
Our unit's have the same software version as yours.
He spent an hour on the phone with a Lowrance 2nd...
I installed a KeelShield on my old Champion a few years ago. No problems installing (follow their directions) - still tight on hull. Wish I'd installed one many years before I did. Beach boat on...
7 ft spinning rod MH w. fast tip & large spool reel loaded with 15# braid main line and co-poly or flouro 12# leader. 3/0 wide gap light-wire hook usually weightless in a White Pearl Super Fluke.
My old '89 ProV 150 started buzzing the overheat warning couple years ago when running at higher rpms. Replaced water pump impeller, checked thermostats, etc. No help.
Pulled heads and removed...
