There are plenty of off brand handles that will fit the Calcutta reels.
I've replaced all of my Calcutta 50's and conquest 100's with 95mm and 100mm handles. Makes cranking alot easier.

It's a soft touch coating they put on it.
It can scratch off if it's abused.
But for the most part, the coating is fairly durable.

You can order new knobs from shimano's website.
Most of the current knobs will fit the Core.
Make sure to get the knob caps also.
And maybe a few extra shims so there is no side to side play in...

This is definitely some good news for the new year.
