Vapor lock do you prime the bulb before you launch? have you replaced the primer bulb as well and does it stay hard or have you checked it?
this needs to be done every 6 months there is water in it and vapor locking ill bet you anything. remember to prime it before you cinch it down to release as much air as possible.
Did you replace the water / fuel separator in the bilge area? mine did the same exact thing and the water in there vapor locked mine up. need to replace those every 6 months.
If it’s been taken care of and is serviced bi-annually and he has records I don’t see a problem. I do everything annually and filters / plugs 2 times a year.
Sorry I tend to disagree owning multiple HPDI's and having powerhead replacements as well. the 2 I blew 225 and a 250 (Series 1 and 2) both had less than 150 hours. my other series 1 had almost 40...
Be aware and go drive the 20i as that was the first year of that hull which had a lot of issues with the strakes and porposed a lot at any speeds below 50. I had a close friend with one and it drove...
could also be the high pressure fuel pump or the canister / VST filter. I would do the canister filter on top of the VST first if you haven't done so already?
if you can get that boat for $20K and say have to put $3K-$4 into it for a complete motor service, tires, decent graphs, complete detail, new trailer lighting and misc. repairs you have a $28-$30K...
the splits in the plates should be a dollar bill width or 2 3/8"
wow they changed a ton on the zx200 since I had mine. my 05 came with the exact same options that the zx225 had. I got a 36v TM, 50 gallon fuel tank, same size livewells and same electronics and...
I fished a 05 zx200 on the tour out here on the west coast from havasu, clear lake, mead and so on. it took on the biggest water and then some. yeah its maybe 3 MPH less than the zx225 but drafts...
Im not a Ranger guy but nonetheless the 25T1 is the prop for that motor. the RPM's look fine and there is too much prop slip. are you to high? when trimmed up how is the rooster tail, it shouldn't be...
or a 80lb ultrex
I ran a 12" Detwiler on my 05 and all for nothing except being able to get in skinnier water. no speed increase and added more weight so needless to say it wasn't worth it for me at that time.
XLF and Premium are same both synthetic blend
Penzoil XLF you can get it at Walmart. It’s all I pretty much ran in my 05 200 HPDI and run it in my 09 225
I had to replace my bunks after 5 years but that was all I had to do. that's easy work for you to do if its hasn't been done yet but I m sure it has they rot away pretty fast. also went with LED...
I don’t think there is another 19.5 foot boat in that year that could compete in this class.
I had mine for 8 years and it was probably the best boat I had ever owned. if you want more info PM me I sold her in 2013 and was still mint. ran like a scalded dog around 71
You do have a Water Separator in the back of the boat right? the HPDI needs it and should be changed 2 times annually. I have always done this and used ring free or startron.
The FX is a heavier hull than the ZX. the FX shares same hull as the Iclass but different top cap. ZX series will always run faster. Flashing your SHO would be the way to go though.
Run Ring Free in the tank and make sure it has a new water separator, plugs, fuel filters and impeller is good. I had the same motor and she never let me down and was a screamer. I did my own service...
Not with Poles, 2 guys and a load it drops off a lot. you can expect at least 5/6 MPH less when loaded and poles easy.
I have a 09 20i but it has a 225 on it not the 250 (Don't ask me why as it was Deans boat he won with at Oneida). its a 69-70 MPH boat with me loaded and about 66 MPH with my partner added. but in...
