solved.
Three presses at 3.5 to 3.75 tons was all it took to shift the old rubber hub back to flush.
Must have came originally from the factory like that in 1992.
Here is the same prop on EBay that shows spline top is flush with seat area of spacer bushing. So I would like to really find out what method is used to adjust the internal spline setting depth. Mine...
The other 17 pitch prop has the spline flush with the place where spacer bushing is supposed to rest.
This 19 pitch prop in the photo shows the internal spline NOT flush.
Can it be moved? Press?...
One other possible complication. It's a Viper prop.
