Good advice. Thanks.
Picked up my 2014 Ranger 520c from the shop today after having some new electronics added. I hooked up and drove home 12 miles. I hardly never use the hand parking brake - like maybe 4-5 times ever....
Thanks all. I appreciate it.
I’m running 2 HDS Live 12’s and one Gen 2 Touch 12”. I typically fish in the east region so I have Navionics Hotmaps Platinum+ card for the east. Also when I got my HDS Lives I got the CMap Contour...
What’s the best mapping for St John’s River? Running HDS Live 12’s with C-Map Contour + currently. Thanks in advance.
Yeah you two guys reading each others minds, lol. That’s an idea I hadn’t thought about but I like the simplicity of it if its safe and effective. They told me I could use whatever amp charger I...
After this long process of checking amps, volts, asking for help and rechecking everything I believe everything seems normal. The problem with all that is I am in a position with my battery,...

No issues in starting and no hesitation on the big motor at the end of the day. But when I plug the charger in it shows the battery between 10% or greater but less than 30% charge.
Yes Ranger Z520c and using. Ranger edition professional series Quad Pro PS4 15amp charger.
I plugged the X2 into charge and the charger shows over 70%. Its been charging since 11:30 and the volts are now reading 14.4 volts. The three other batteries which are Durcell AMG 31's were...
I checked the voltage of the X2 after full charge which showed 12.96 volts. I turned on two units and ran them in the garage for 3hrs this morning. I rechecked the voltage and it was 12.62 volts. ...
I did the bottom example on Sunday for 10hrs. Assuming 6.5amps/hr that’s 65 amps. The charger had one red bar or 10% but less than 30% as Two red bars is 30%. So it was somewhere between 10-30%. ...
well I couldn't stand it so I went and got a digital multimeter and tested my stuff for the amp draw. Here is what I found. Keep in mind my boat has a master power switch with a charge option, run...

I ran very little all day. Three times in fact and maybe just a few miles.
Thank you! Good information IMO in this post. Very helpful.
So let's do some back of the napkin calculations on my experience from the other day. I am running a X2 Power Plus AGM battery size 31 with a Mercury Optima 250 Pro XS. I launched and started two...
That’s likely true as well. I’m either gonna have to add a battery for electronics or manage my usage better.
Good info as well. I called Lowrance technical support yesterday and asked about standby. Their response was it wouldn’t effect the amp draw. I wasn’t buying that. It has to reduce it somewhat...
That would be awesome! Thank you! Very helpful.
Do you happen to check the amperage with some in standby mode? It would appear I’m sitting at around 9-9.5 as well with everything on. I have the same battery as you but I’m using a QuAd Pro...
Very informative post! Thanks for sharing! I am running into the same problem. Sort of Similar setup! Curious what charger you have and how long does it take to get back to full charge?
I am just trying to fish a full day then come in and charge it over night to a completely full charge and be ready to go the next day. So for example yesterday we fished 10hrs - pretty typical day...
Thank you! Just trying to make sense of what’s going on with my setup!!
