White Slug-O weightless
I don't want to repeat what I said but your desription sure looks like something that happened to me. I put a bit to much line in a couple of my reels and the bulge it forms in the middle of the...
Sometimes, when there is too much line in a reel, the line will rub on the frame under the spool and this will cause the fraying. Something to check.
Swimbaits date back to the nineteen fifty's. The first one I heard about was the Vivif from France.
That's the same thing as saying you are going to stop producing still cameras because we now have video cameras
Right. I don't see either, only MinnKota and Garmin

Great links,t547486hanks City17Banner. From what I see, Fluorocarbon can be seen by fish, but less than other lines. I have never understood why someone would color fluorocarbon except to make it...
I also make my own. I use Bio-Silk type silicone. It has a mat finish that I like and that the smallmouth also seem to like. Cut the front strands short so they look like little legs that move...
I use the small size ( 3 inch) Zako with the Mini Max.
I like Shimano, so my choice would be the Bantam, with the lowest gear ratio offered. I like slow reels for bladed jigs.
You might try 2500 series reels. Some have a smaller diameter spool and that would give you more distance between fingers and spool. Also, not all reels have a stem ( part between the foot and the...
Yes, we have strippers, not in lakes but in the St Lawrence river (stocked fish also) . In the section of the river I fish, they are protected still. We are not allowed to catch any excxept...
This is actually used to thump on the water. It's used to '' wake up'' Wels Catfish in Europe.
Thank you
Wonder if this would work ????

I had a similar event. I've been using a Shimano Conquest 100 to retrieve my soft swimbaits and figured I needed a bit more speed. Changed over to a Curado with a 7:1 ratio and saw my success go...
Pardon my ignorance: What's a thumper ?

and you will get better performance from your transducer with a piece of starboard. It puts the transducer a little farther away from the hull in a better flow of water if the 3 in 1 is...
Splicing a tranducer cable is always difficult even more so with MDI or MSI. If you can, put the splice in the motor head. I don't think the length of the cable is important for good performance.
It's because there are no mecanics involved in a rod. Most people will change a rod 2 or 3 times putting the same reel on it.
I would be willing to spend quite a bit on a rod.
This is how I...
Yes, and there goes, out the door, the notion that you had to adopt certain rhythm with a jerkbait to get results: remember, jerk... jerk... stop ! or jerk... jerk... jerk ... stop ! How many times...
DC is a different technology. If it were for all purposes, that's the only kind of reel Shimano would produce. They do not. DC reels are ideal for throwing baits in tough conditions: Long...
I also have an XT and yes, it's a better reel. The external adjustment dial is really easy to use.
My mistake, the review said a better balanced thinner wall spool and I figured ''lighter'' but if you weighted them you already know that was wrong.
