Its in the shop, its the voltage regulator. Everything has been tested and is good
I called Western Marine and they said Sierra didnt make a 40amp regulator. He even called Mercury to cross reference numbers and they didnt have any.
Thanks, CDI makes a 40amp direct replacement, no need to do anything with stator. Its about $200 bux cheaper than OEM. But any issues with CDI?

Well apparently i need a poppet valve, or rebuild kit. It failed today and psi was erratic and over heated at times, but not to failure, uggggggg. Any ideas for replacements?

European AM, I am guessing you will know this engine, I believe it came from Greenville as did the boat. I will see if I can get it from him.
Oh yea, and best prop for it. It will be on a 1988 20' Shadow. Looking for fully loaded and about 450 plus driver/passenger weight and a good start for P tp P height.

Update.. went with the 3/8" hose, set the throttle arm as manual says, didnt syn n link yet, throttle blades now open to 90 degrees and took it out. Runs great, course it always has. I picked up 200...
