When I repowered my Stratos I found those extra holes for the engine and jackplate. I installed the two additional bolts. I can't imagine what harm it could cause.
My Stratos with an Evinrude was repowered with an Optimax. The existing hydraulic steering system was reused. Did replace all gauges, shifter, cables and engine harness.
Been through that a few times and it sucks for sure.

During tournament season I fish about ten different rivers and lakes. There are a few like east lake, Potomac, and Roanoke Rapids lake that I have fished in the past but want to revisit.
