Anyone have experience on this lake? Heading up in a few weeks and thinking about checking it out. Good numbers for smallmouth? Can't seem to find any reports on it.
Where's the best place to launch? We go up every year and stay in Mercer. Looking to fish the chain this year.
Every year. I live in the north so gets changed spring after pulling from storage. Cheap insurance.
Just so happened we hit it on a day with 5-6 footers. I've never surfed waves in a bass boat before but he knew how to handle them. He offered another trip because he felt bad of the conditions...
Skeeter probably have the worst livewell fill setup. Need to pop the boat in reverse while pumps are on to prime them. I do this when I launch the boat.
Chris Johnson is a solid choice. Google fishcrazy guide up in door county.
Most lakes I fish have docks. I keep winch strap attached but let a few feet out. Back down as close to dock and until ass end of boat starts to float. Walk dock and jump on boat. Unhook winch...
Wash your hands, bring a snack and launch boat by yourself. Not trying to be a smart ass, but use common sense and you'll be fine.
Don't see why not if you are fishing by yourself and don't have contact with anyone to and from the lake.
March 8th I believe.
It's been a few years but what I can remember is that it's a clear lake. Not a lot of weeds except for a shallow bay with a bunch of cabbage. Main lake is sand/gravel and a lot of cribs The shallow...
Unfortunately the truck went straight to the shop once we got up here. Hitting Trude lake up tomorrow. Will let you know how it fishes.
Mine stay dry in the closed position. 2011 zx200
The flowage is about 40 minutes from Minocqua. I'm heading up the week before you. This will be first time fishing it for me. I can report back how it is.
I just switched to Lucas Oil and mixed it with Yamalube. No issues. It does smoke less.
It's normal. If the over heat alarm comes on you have an issue. Mine did this past weekend. My water intake strainer was clogged.
Getting ready to install a talon but unfortunately its going to be raining for the next few days. Regarding the deployment alarm, would I need to run wire from my ignition switch or should there be...
Are you referring to where the transducer/temp wires feed in right being the motor?
Think I might have found my answer. Never would have thought to run the drill in reverse to avoid grabbing fiberglass.

Looking at adding a talon and wondering best option for drilling through hull for running wire to battery. Just a standard hole saw?
Had the same issue. Blew a fuse and now I only get a black screen.
Went out Tuesday. Saw temps around 55-56 south and 50 up north. I bet this cold front coming through is going to play with them a little. A little nerve racking being the first time on the lake...
Whoops. looked over this part and went out yesterday. Where can I purchase this sticker?
