You should always lightly sand your baits before you prime them. Spray can primer works well for me, but you'll need good paint. I like Valspar from Lowes.

I have 10 of these blanks that I bought a while back. I think they are styled 134908after a Japa134907nese lure but I'm not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
