I ended up going with a Phoenix 721 with a SHO. My first bass rig also. Not familiar enough with the Triton to compare, but can say I definitely like the Phoenix boats.

Mine had the switch to kill the TM. Had them add the switch to kill overall power to the rest, such as poles.

I've been looking at the 250 and have been told the 250 is as good for the most part. The difference is noticed in really rough water where the FX is better.
