It only bothers me because I bothered to check it. Other than a slight bend still fishes just as well as any other.

Stick to what you’re confident with! I tried the straight shank hooks and my hookups went down too. I like using brush hogs, put that on straight shank and there isn’t much of a gap for the plastic...
I'd have to say I'm one of the few that thinks the opposite. I'd rather my reels be dinged and scratched up, it's like battle scars, I use them more often and not think about keeping them pretty. ...
I've cut down a couple, for that same reason, it just wasn't comfortable. I'd suggest cutting an inch at a time. Easier to cut off then try and add more handle length.
I started my boy and his nephews, when they were around 4 yrs old, all on 6' ML rods & 6# line on spinning reels. Never gave a thought about spincast rod & reels, those short 2ft rods were the worst...
TDX HSDF! One of my favorite reels! If you want more line capacity, you could swap the 103HSDF spool to a 100HSD spool. There's a write up on TackleTour. Or any of the TDZ 103/105 spools are...
Sluggos were my go to bait in my early days of fishin'! I'd rig it weedless and pull across pads for some top water action, jerk it like a fluke before I discovered flukes, and let it sink...
I've removed paint off plastic body lures by submerging them in degreaser. I think it took a day or two to get all the paint off.
Add a roll of duct tape/electrical tape and a screwdriver with interchangeable driver bits.
I would think the Teckel Sprinker Frog would be a good buzzbait type for matted weeds. Haven't tried it myself but looks like it would work.
I agree with everyone's opinion too. I like my combos to be balanced at the reel seat or even a little bit behind for pitching/flipping. For cranking, since the rod is usually pointing down towards...
Usually fish for walleye/sauger below river dams. I like using plain round head jigs in varying sizes and a curly tail. I never found jig head color to be a big deal and after getting snagged up a...
Might not be of much help but I happen to come across a AG Venerate at Scheel's and it is a very, very light rod in hand. I would imagine it would fish very well too.
5/0 Gammy EWG and I switch between regular or monster EWG hooks to vary sink rate for weedless rig. Also like 1/0 circle hooks for wacky rig.
Pinion gear and drive gear. The teeth are probably messed up in some way on one or the other or both. It's best to replace both gears at the same time.
I hate to say it but you'd be better off wrapping new thread and finish. I've tried doing exactly what you mentioned on an old rod also.
It was impossible to get all the epoxy off because it...
Looks good!
I just started rod building a couple of years ago, WI winters can really drag on. I've painted lures, tied flies, cleaned my own reels, why not build my own rods. I've had rods that I really...
Zillions!
You can also use a blow dryer to help it dry quicker! Hold it a distance and rotate your handle. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eek.gif WOW! The before and after pictures are unbelievable! Very nice job! How long did that take you to complete? Did you do the paint job yourself?
Brush hogs and Power hawgs on 4/0 EWG hook. Black sapphire or solid black has been good to me.
