We soak the apples in lemon juice. Just be sure not to use to much. You can probably do that for the banana's and pinapple as well.

We used the original recipe and it was great.

I'm not sure if they would taste much different the large mouth's, but there is only one way to find out. Just try a few and see if you like them.
