No I have not tried this.
My unit is connected directly to the battery with only the 3amp fuse between.
You may have missed it… I did check the pins on the power cord and I am getting voltage to the pins. That should mean the cord is fine, no?
Wayne, is it your opinion that my unit is dead, or are there other things I should be checking before I give up?
I checked at the pin, and I have voltage there. So I guess my first question is, is it worth investigating further, or is this unit just plain dead? Second question, will the new “N” model units...
Would that integrate with a first generation iPilot Link?
That’s a great suggestion, I’ll try it!
So… I did this, step by step as you suggested, and got no result. The connection appears to be solid, and the pins seem to be aligned. I bent them slightly as you suggested to ensure contact with the...
Thank you Wayne, I’ll try that today!
I’ve had my Humminbird 899 since about a year after they came out, with flawless operation and perfect integration with my 1st generation iPilot Terrova. A couple days ago I turned it on and...

I posted a question yesterday and got great help as far as what to do about this. But I’m curious to know what caused the fuse and fuse holder to corrode and disintegrate like this? It’s the 2nd of 3...
Now that I know what to do to fix this, on another note, does anyone know why this happened? Is there another electrical issue that cause this one fuse to corrode and disintegrate? My 36 volt...
Just in case anyone else runs into the same issue, I did look up the specs in the manual, and they actually recommend a 30 amp fuse…

So just to make sure I understand (got no experience with this), it’s a 5 amp per bank charger (15 amp total), so I need a 10 amp fuse?
Thanks fellas… any idea what gauge wire and what size fuse? It’s definitely not under warranty… it’s about 8 years old.
I have the Minnkota MK315D three-bank charger for my 36v trolling motor batteries. Blinking green lights indicate full charge; solid red indicates check connection. I checked the connection on...
My electronics are a mash-up of what I could afford at the time, gifts given to me, and what I wanted... Started with a Lowrance 520c at the console... then my wife gifted me a Lowrance HD5 for the...
Thought I’d fill you guys in on the conclusion to this situation... So... Based on advice here and other research I did, I, like some here, concluded that I was having a fuel delivery issue, and that...
Ahhh, that’s a washer? LOL. I thought that was part of the prop. Thanks man.
Don’t know what a thrust washer is. I’m just trying to take the stainless prop off, and put the aluminum one in its place.
