Thanks everyone :)
Thinking about buying the Ranger front step for my RT188 trailer... those that have them, what do you think of them?
Thanks or the heads up... just ordered two or my 188.
The LSS1 is not designed to be used above 10MPH. The tab will not be an issue.
Hopefully, they won't end up like the Saturn dealerships offering a new way of making cars... a victim of too many players in a particular industry.
Can the marketplace support another boat...
Here is the wiring diagram for the bypass switch used on my boat.

It was really easy to install :)
I fabricated a custom bracket out of angled aluminum I bought at the hardware store, then mounted a standard gas spring mount to it.
I would rather have the trailer hit the pavement ($40 coupler replacement) then have the boat/trailer slam into the back of my truck at speed ($4000 plus?).

Lime away is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Really nice!
Thanks for pointing it out.
Of course that is a super, super deal!!!!!!
The cabling from the motor was rubbing off the paint in the splash pan. I put them in to protect the paint job.

I bought some starboard cut to size from http://www.boatoutfitters.com/cut-to-size-black-king-starboard and attached it using double-sided foam tape.

It was really easy to do. The most nerve racking think was cutting the hole for the switch in the splash pan - measure twice, cut once. The installation is clean and no water gets past it.

Refer to http://www.basspro.com/BEP-Marine-Battery-Switches/product/97350/ for the switch.
I did not take any pictures of the buckle installation, but I can tell you that it was pretty simple......
All projects shown were completed by myself.
Thanks for asking.

I have enjoyed everyone's posts over the years, so here is my setup (and all its modifications). I own a 2015 RT188.

You can get it at tackle warehouse. This is the same model installed in the high-end Ranger fiberglass bass boats, so your dealer can get it as well.

I installed a remote drain plug on my RT188 - it is water tight every time, and very easy to use - I love it!
