Hit 65.9 gps today at 5600rpm. Still had a little trim left but ran out of lake here on Boone. Still at 3.5” ptp
Manual says 5500 but I’ve heard it can go further
PTP 3.5”
Water pressure at 20
I’m wanting to buy another prop and still dialing in my 188 I haven’t had very long. It’s currently running a Yamaha 25M on a 2.6L 200 vmax HPDI. What prop and PTP are you guys running. I’m currently...
Fueling my boat is a real pain the butt. I’ve tried the upside down nozzle and slow and every other trick I’ve found on the forum. Today I couldn’t get it past 3/4 and it took me 25 minutes to do...
The second accessory switch is definitely for livewell pump out. Finally got to try it out
Ahh didn’t think of that. Thanks. Makes perfect sense now
Livewell? Maybe so I haven’t tried it for that. I will next trip. Thanks
When I turn on the second from left accessory rocker switch I instantly get a pump running in the bilge area. What is it and is it normal? That rocker is the one I’m referring to. Second picture just...
There is one drain hole and these two plugs. One for trailering I’m assuming. Recirculate through the other?
Mine is dual console and can fit a 7’6”. That’s the biggest I have tried
Yes the kit comes with wet bolts and brass bushings for springs. I didn’t realize how bad my equalizers were until I pulled them. Completely trashed
Pretty sure you were the influence for me to try mine. Someone posted about doing it on a 198 I remember finding when searching the forum. If so thanks a bunch. Really helped me out
Just went through and repacked and tightened all hubs. They all looked good minus one inner seal which is on order. Pads and rotors look good.
Found it! Same location as yours. Its an SC. Also, I got the seal on order. Really appreciate the sent emailed info. I needed other info that I hadn't asked for yet but found it in there. Thanks for...
PM sent. It’s bearing buddy system. As far as the make being MFI or SC I don’t know.
I just finished up replacing the equalizers, shackles (bought from etrailer as a kit) and all springs (SDTrucksprings) I just recently bought the boat and the springs were hitting on trailer so it...
So I bought my 188 about a month ago. It had a pretty good clunk when I stopped and but was pretty loud when taking back off afterwards. I finally had the chance to investigate….master cylinder was...
Loving my new boat but the trailer had been neglected a bit and I’ve been doing lots of repairs this week. I’m currently looking for hub seals for it. It’s a tandem 2003 with DB 35 brakes if that...
Looks like my 2003 188 trailer springs are contacting the trailer as well….I’m gonna have to try and figure this thread out and do mine.
Its currently getting a tune up and fixing a water pressure gauge but I will post pictures when I get it back. I think I might look for some if I can find the rack and tubes....thinking of running...
Its very fun to drive Ill say that!! I checked the OEM thread but didnt see it.....The interior rocker lights. The one on the side of the driver console doesnt work and feels like it may be broken....
I only had it out the once and wanted to take it to my mechanic to do a complete run through of the engine and filters so its currently there for a few days but when I had it out I think I was in low...
I found myself a 188 in really good shape so she is mine now! I’ve only had it out the once so far and have a few questions…
Is there a rod organizer that will work in this boat? It doesn’t have...
I am headed to look at the boat very soon. It’s at a dealer so hopefully they went through it….
