    The factory "primer" on the BRP gearcases needs to be lightly sanded before you paint it. On mine, I go a step further and use a high build epoxy primer and then 4 coats of the matching...

    By my best calculations this is how it breaks down.... planning phase @4 hrs, tear out soft spots..... revamp plans @6 hrs, remove everything .... change plans again..... @6 hrs, grind old glass......

    I use Form A Gasket. But make sure you clean the area real well before using it. Definitely do NOT use any silicone based sealants. Form A gasket will work with either the cork or rubber...

    Have you seen the "Bad Attitude" anywhere? Was a Black hull with multi color blue stripes and name in gold. You wouldn't believe how much work I did on that boat over the years..... and the fish...
