Mariner 150 Opti.... picked it up back in 06.... was supposedly blown up.... the #5 air injector pintle let go and lodged itself in the top of the piston.... otherwise no damage. Decided to replace...

The factory "primer" on the BRP gearcases needs to be lightly sanded before you paint it. On mine, I go a step further and use a high build epoxy primer and then 4 coats of the matching...

By my best calculations this is how it breaks down.... planning phase @4 hrs, tear out soft spots..... revamp plans @6 hrs, remove everything .... change plans again..... @6 hrs, grind old glass......

I just saw somewhere here there is a similiar condition Storm as mine was.... check my "For all you Storm lovers post" for the before and after.... just don't take 3 plus years like I did........

I use Form A Gasket. But make sure you clean the area real well before using it. Definitely do NOT use any silicone based sealants. Form A gasket will work with either the cork or rubber...

Champ.... The seat shells were re used. I'll do some checking and try to find you some..... They are all rotocast plastic except for the Butt seat.... that one had to be made from scratch.....

Have you seen the "Bad Attitude" anywhere? Was a Black hull with multi color blue stripes and name in gold. You wouldn't believe how much work I did on that boat over the years..... and the fish...
