Own a Merc V6,200hp,2.5, carb engine ,1998, that was modified . The Oil Pump Gear is still in the Crank . The passage of the Pump was fill up with Epoxy at he BLOCK side but NOT at the HALF CRANK. ...

Own a 4" manual Vance Jack plate .... Hoe can adjust the Center Bolt ? ...
Can I leave the 2 nuts ( 15/16 " ) loose ..? or need to be tightened ? ...

Does the QL77JC4 plugs can cause the problem ?..... The OEM service manual recommeds that 77JC4.....

or maybe the flywheel ????....

They are using QL77JC4 at 0.030 gap . idle timing at 7° . Recic.valves all are OK , moved the idle screws to 6 . intalled a new fuel pump .....and still the same problem.... check again the spark...
