I have an older Daiwa TDZ and I want to replace the AR bearing. But it seems like it's stuck. How would you remove this without damaging it?

I agree also. A lot of today's build quality feels fake with all the composites.

Distance isn't really a problem. But smoothness is. I own a 5601 from Sweden and it's not where near as smooth as my Steez or SV103. It's a decent reel, but I rarely use it.

How many of you like the older baitcasters? I have the new Steez LTD, and a TDZ 103ML, and the SV103HL.

I've seen some people polish their baitcaster gears. Are there any ill effects? And what about the Daiwa aluminum gears? I've heard if you polish them, they lose their smoothness.
