I run both on my boats as well. I was running all three brands at one point but the Garmins replaced the Lowrances in the last year and a bit. I've left all the wiring for the Lowrances in place and...

FWIW, both Johnstons ended up possibly not winning one of the St Lawrence events because they hooked a fish they were sight fishing outside...

If you decide on the St Lawrence for your specified time frame, try to swing it after Labor Day. Many of the large cruisers will be done for the year and you'll likely have large swaths of the river...

Meh. Many courses can be made to play much tougher than they usually do - narrower fairways, faster greens, heavier rough, bunker placement are but a few things that can be done on most any property...
