Great reels for sure I have one that I still use for cranking but I love my curado ks, they are a real workhorse at a decent price. The worst curados I ever had were the I series.

I caught some good ones on the 6" last year

I had the same problem after re carpeting last year. Tried my clippers on the edges and wouldn't cut it, borrowed some dog trimmers and it shaved like a dream. Now they all open easy.
