I installed blue water lights under the gunnel all around, controlled by dimmer I added to console. To get to port side, you will need to drill...or at least I did.

Thanks for the info. Just checked mine and sure enough, backward. Corrected them and opens smooth like it should.

I like it...would've saved me a bunch of time. I was more interested in boat layout and this is good stuff.
