2mph and squirrely? That must have been on an alum. Ranger? What boat does the OP have in case I missed it? I assure you it is a big improvement on a better designed hull.
I used Ford oil in a Chevy I had once. That 5.3 was so weak it added about 50hp
Well not exactly. I bought an actual 150.
She is rated for 135. Which is exact same as a 150, just detuned.
That was a joke. You could not see the sarcasm in the way I typed my letters? LOL
Yes, PP offers plate mounted brackets. That's how both my poles are mounted.
I recently added a 36" jackplate so now my 190 is about 22 feet long.
Ha, Great analogy. Always been a Ranger fan but this was one of the reasons I went Tracker!
Yup. You are going to a lightweight alum hull. It does not matter what the brand wind will always be a factor. My Comanche is almost 22 feet long and wind is still a factor.
Well have you ever heard someone that actually owns one complain about it? I personally have not. And everyone I know seems to think it is more of an advantage then anything. Cant speak of everyone...
Hydraulic is pretty useless and a waste of money in my opinion other than ease of initial setup. I have one on my Ranger and never move it. I have a manual on my Tacker. Once you find your optimum...
I have the xi5 on my tracker and Ipilot on my Ranger and my dad has MK Ipilot on his Ranger a well. The xi5 does what my ipilot does, it just does everything better. Its more quiet, spotlock/anchor...
I have bought more crap online than I can even begin to count. No way it would even be a thought in my head to ask for my money back if it did not work. It is his problem, and he knew when he bought...
Still beating the hell out of mine. No issues. If i had it to do all over again and realized at the time that a 175 is the same motor and weight as the 150, just different heads, i would have damn...
Well if you have never driven a narrow Tracker mod v with over 150hp on a plate with a prop with a lot of lift then you are in fact inexperienced. Enough power on a light narrow mod v and it was...
Yup, let them show their inexperience and ignorance. Could care less. Need to send my Trophy to Mark and have it fixed though. Tried it out on my Ranger and messed it up good hitting some rocks. The...
O no. How will ever be able to sleep at night now. Let me send my Lowrance in to be checked because obviously it is broken because you don't believe me.
Give me a break.
She was only 2mph...
Better brush up on dem der drivin skills. Triton chine walk is a bee-otch. Sweet motor though.
All in the eye of the beholder. I own one of those "top tier" boats mentioned, 21ft Comanche, but I still prefer to fish my Tracker. It runs almost just as fast and gets about 3 times the fuel...
That pretty much sums up my point. Of course that's just my opinion.
So you think spending 40k+ on something you drive back and forth from point A to point B is not stupid. Not a bold statement at all. In my opinion just plain common sense. But then again just my...
Simple. Because just like new cars and trucks, and idiot is born everyday willing to pay the ridiculous prices they are asking. I was that idiot once in my life even though my dad always taught me...
I threw a battery at a turtle today. Then took it to walmart and exchanged it for a new one
I had roughly the same set-up as you before I put on the 150. You should not have any trouble what so ever getting on plane no matter what the jackplate is set at. A Trophy would def be an...
