Im hoping I convinced him to hit the Coosa River or go to Smith Lake. He is/was looking for some big spotted bass. Those are my goto bodies of water for big spots!
Thanks Wayne!! Sorry for the confusion but I wanted to be 100% sure before I glassed anything into my hull
Now if I can get Precision Sonar to respond to my questions!
Im not worried about getting DI. I would however like 2D while on plane. From what I am understanding either one of them would work for that, correct?
I currently have the XTM 9 DI 25 T and XNT 9 DI T transducers. Which of those two would you suggest to use to glass into the hull? I would assume that installing the unit without a transducer and...
I replaced my bow panel with some acrylic years ago... it has held up okay so far.
So I would be able to still use one of the DI transducers that I currently have as a shoot-thru? Would I get any useable data from the DI doing that? I guess I would also lose the ability to get...
I have an email in to Precision Sonar to see if they offer a blank panel or that would have the gauges in the same places as the factory. Still waiting to hear back.
Wall, what did you go with...
I am looking for a replacement for my bow panel for my 2003 Ranger 175VS. Attached image should show what I am looking for. With or without cut out for Garmin unit should work. Thanks!
I am looking at putting a HB597di that I had on the bow of my boat in the dash of my console to use for on-plane depth and mapping. The unit that I have in my dash now has a its transducer epoxied...
What end of the lake are you going to be fishing? Southern end is pretty wide open until the grass comes in but from Siebold up, pay attention to the channel markers.
As of Saturday the water temp was ~56-59F and about 1-1.5ft low with some dirty water in some of the creeks. It was a pretty tough bite this past weekend with the full moon, cold waters, blue bird...
SBG lives pretty close to the big muddy... maybe he can put you up for a few days :D
I for one love the SI Chirp. I use the MEGA and 455kHz most often.
We fished from Cheneyhatchee to Thomas Mill. We had a LOT of small fish and a couple of 2.5 - 3#ers
Last weekend was a tough bite for most of us. We managed 14 on Friday, 4 on Saturday, and probably 4 Sunday morning. Friday was cold, Saturday was super windy, and Sunday was WET! We couldnt come...
Sleep in your truck and make sure you pack heat wherever you stay! I grew up fishing that lake/river and dad never went without a full magazine and locked and loaded. Ive seen a number of vehicles...
Im headed down tomorrow to fish Fri-Sun. I'll try to update you when I get back.
Thanks guys!! Hogman, Roll Tide and thank you for your service!!
No one on here fishing Eufaula?
Whats confusing? lol
MEGA gives you 1.2Mhz imaging. The regular SI units offer you 455kHz and 800 kHz imaging. The higher the frequency, the better detail you can get.
David, any chance you have a jack plate on your boat? I have a 175VS and I installed a 6" jack plate for two reasons 1) better hole shot and dialing in speed and handling and 2) transducer mounting!
So far this has been the best option that I have seen. I just wish they had a single. I know I could use one for a drink and one for a couple of tools but most of the time Id only be using one side...
