With more electronics on the bow today and heavier trolling motors, does a going to a bigger jackplate (ie. 10" to 12") help bring the speed back? Would increasing HP be better?

Since the button was not working, I decided to open it up from the underside edge with a sharp razor blade (approx. 1/4 was not cut in reference for reassembly purpose). Turns out...

Easy install for the Dek it. Access is thru the front panel.
