Didn't he say in one of his videos his "off the grid" boat was a Triton he built up to perform how he wanted it to?
Yep, California junior. Upon retirement I am out of here.
Rather than swim, keep a pole with a treble bait and snag the boat. Saw Scott Martin have to do that years ago on his tv show.
I have had the velcro rod holders, the bungee holders and the retractable Rod Buckle ones. For sure the Rod Buckle are the way to go.
The velcro ones end up with rods on them and when you are ready...
I did the Ubid thing and transported a boat from Virginia to Washington State for around $2200 but that was 5 yrs ago. You can also have enclosed trailers but those were about twice the cost.
You can buy seat spacers to raise the seats some.
I have a pp micro with the wireless battery. I have had issues that are caused by the lithium battery. If you are in deep water and the pole bottoms out on the mount the pole sometimes gets stuck in...
Goobs, is all that in your boat at once or is it to keep organized in the garage?
Does not come with a battery so if you go lithium you are another $500-$1000 into it. I want the spotlock but think i will end up with the 106 powered by minn kota. Hoping i can feather the throttle...
Ballistic's website says 204 is approx. 1550lbs
Allison's website says XB21 is 1350-1400lbs
Ballistic is on my short list for my next boat so I am not hating but it drives me crazy when people...
I have a Lowe Roughneck 1756 (very similar to your boat, but slightly smaller) with a 40 and am not happy with the holeshot or speed. I would not buy the 1860 without max hp.
Havent seen a dual console Ballistic. Is the passenger console removable so I can run with it in or out depending on if I like my passenger.
Good video. Thanks.
I did the same as mittenbass.
I had the tripod to pull tubes on my 2+2. Worked great and you could still open all the rear lids while the tripod was installed. Then you easily store the tripod under the front deck when not in...
All fishing in WA is closed. All of OR is open for fishing except Salmon and Steelhead on the Columbia, per ODFW website. Idaho is also open.
In my old 2+2 rods would go airborne at 55mph. Luckily my co-angler was quick and caught the rod as it was flying between us.
I built a 1756 Lowe Roughneck w/ Merc 60/40 jet tiller. Angled aluminum, SS Rivets, 20oz carpet for the build with Ultrex, Helixes and Power Pole Micros. Holds 18+ poles in locked storage. I love it....
I wouldn't worry about 1/8" initially but 1" could make a big difference.
PTP does matter. If motor is too deep it will try to raise the boat too much and not balance right. If motor is too shallow you will lose water pressure. On my Alli you want the motor as high as you...
Might need to have the props tweaked to help that blow out. I had the same issues with my Allison but a little tweaking from a knowledgeable prop guy helps a ton.
My 2017 Ram 2500 4x4 w/ 35” tires (which are barely bigger than stock) with only a leveling kit on the front takes approx 6” of drop to get my trailer flat for towing.
I have a 17' Lowe Roughneck that did 20mph with a 25hp Tohatsu 4 stroke with approx. 400lbs of dudes and a 12v trolling motor. Putting a 60/40 jet on it next week so we will see how that speed...
Didn't see the hull listed anywhere. I even checked his profile. So which hull is it?
