IMO all motors should come with the smart craft gauge or at least a fuel usage monitor. I don't even look at my analog fuel gauge or my spedo
and have not for years.

Periodically i clean and smear a little lithium on the steering shafts. Also my trim shafts. Hopefully the seals will last longer. I have already replaced them once.

My 2012 518 came with a merc monitor and I'm glad it did. It has a digital fuel usage display that has always been perfect. if it says i have used 12 gallons and I go to the gas station my tank will...

I know this stuff is probably ok for my application. Its primarily to cover my patio cover that has the shade bars that are 3x3.

Sniff, sniff. Something smells foul (fowl) here.

I'll move the ptp to 3.5 and see what happens. I did remove the plugs and noticed a slightly better hs. I'll do the drop and see this Friday and report back.

Mine is 2.5 PTP. I have a manual plate and 24P Fury. My local lakes are 35mph so I never set it up.
I'm going to try 3.0 PTP next outing.
