I have replaced all fuel filters recently as a method of diagnosis..I am not near any water so the only way I can test for poor acceleration is...

So .I have an update..I used a vacuum guage to test the map sensor spigot and thought I had vacuum..so I extended the hose to the map and sucked manually and the motor dropped it's idle..here's where...

Wot at idle would result in an over fuel situation correct? Along the lines of my thinking although I'm on the path of injectors not atomizing and squirting instead..

I cannot find a ser# anywhere on the transom and the powerhead has been replaced with a reman..no number on the frost plug..best I can make out is a 94 stamped in the block behind the starter

All of that was correct except that the fuel pressure does hold..
My thinking is the injector is not atomizing and squirting fuel instead..dirty maybe ?
