I have a 2017 RT 178 with a Yamaha 75. I absolutely love it! No complaints whatsoever. With the trolling motor down, it’s as stable as any boat I’ve ever been in. As for speed, I couldn’t care less...
Personally, I would never grind the welds down on a boat. Seems like it would increase the likelihood of a cracked weld.
WOW...sounds like you’re really upset about this. Calm down, it’ll be ok. 😁
There are two wires that connect to the power switch on the foot pedal and one of them is loose. Just pop the switch out from the top and lightly crimp the terminal ends with a pair of pliers. It's...
If speed is not your thing I think you’ll be fine with a 60. I have a 75 on mine but I never run WOT. I don’t tournament fish and going fast in a boat has never been important to me. I’m never in a...
I looked at both a few years ago and ended up buying a RT 178. I love mine and have no regrets whatsoever.
If you're just wanting your graph to show the correct orientation of the boat you need Steadycast.

LOL.....I know this because I took the pedal apart and then realized I didn't have too.
You don’t have to go in from the bottom of the pedal at all. Just pop it out from the top, connect the wires and pop it back in. You’ll be done in a few minutes.
No, I think Pagregss had it right....:stirthepot:
Why would you not install the heading sensor?
Why don't you guys just agree to disagree and move on.
If it runs good and you're happy with it....keep it.
I think I would have just called Vexus and talked to them if I had concerns about the paint. I'm sure they would have been glad to answer any question he may have had.
Looks really nice. If one didn't know better they would think it came from the factory like that.
Very nice rig. You've done a great job with all the upgrades.
The Governor just issued an order re-opening all public boat ramps.
The order the Governor issued closing the boat ramps is a separate order from the one he issued yesterday. I don't think the Stay At Home order he issued yesterday allows for hooking up your boat...
I guess private boat ramps are a no/go now. If you're caught towing your boat I assume you will be fined for violating the stay at home order issued by the Governor.
Thanks guys. I tried Goat Island yesterday and they were closed. Carolina King is only 45 minutes from my house. Sitting on the water all day by myself seems to be a pretty safe thing to do...
Does anyone know which private boat ramps are actually open?
You're right, just hook the red (positive) wire to the side of the block with the red wires and the black (ground) to the side with the black wires.
Mine has done the same thing since the day I bought it. It's a little annoying but hasn't really caused a problem.
I really like mine. They've been on my boat for 2 years now and look as good today as they did when I installed them.
