I installed the new GPS with the heading sensor and connected it to my 898 @ the console. Both units have an Ethernet connection to each other, with that being said, as long as I have the 788 getting...
Great, thanks Wayne. I really appreciate your time.
While I got you here, any idea on this one. I have the HotMaps Platinum on my 898 at the console, do I need a second HotMaps chip to have the graphs on my 788 at the bow? I have them connected with...
Great! Thank you for the info! Wasn’t sure if that were a such thing or not. From what I’ve heard it’s not uncommon for the 788’s to have GPS issues.
As stated in my bio, I have a HB 898c SI and a 788 CI HD. Currently I have the GPS module without the heading sensor which can make it a pain when you waypoint at your console and then try to lock...
Update for everyone. It seems my pedal is having issues internally inside the sealed up module of the pedal, looked up the part and it was around $75 and a new pedal I found for $102. I went with a...
Yeah that’s exactly what it seems like. Gonna take it apart today at work and pop out the switch and check continuity and see which run switch is sticking. Appreciate all the help guys. Have an email...
Yes, spot lock works on the remote just fine. I’ve always found it weird I have spot lock on the remote and not the foot pedal but that’s how I got the boat. The foot pedal has worked just fine until...
Have a 2011 Minn Kota Legacy Terrova 80/US-2 60” w/ I-Pilot (Model #1358862), started having a problem today that whenever I plug in the foot pedal it acts like it’s in continuous mode and won’t stop...
Yeah my original problem was my tach was reading wrong and was reading a few hundred extra rpm, so I bought a prop based off that. A few weeks ago it had an issue where it was reading even higher so...
Also meant to add I was looking to go to a 4 blade prop, either a trophy plus or spitfire if you guys recommend either of those. Would I need to get a lower pitch to compensate for a 4 blade prop...
The boat is a 2007 Tracker PT190 w/ 90HP Optimax on a 6” Atlas jack plate. Currently I’m running a 13.5/22P Laser II, the boats max speed is 36-37mph and rpms before starting to trim are about...
To start the boat is a 2007 Bass Tracker PT190. It’s equipped with 3 batteries (2 of which are in a compartment mid boat/bow area), 2 10ft power poles, 6” Atlas Jack plate, and a 90hp optimax...
Update: The welder came and fixed the cracks today, we used a small drill bit and drilled the end of each crack to prevent further spreading. We then took off the top plate and bolts and he welded up...
Stratosguy0725 - When yours did that how did you go about fixing it? Did you get it re-welded and leave the jack plate on or did you end up taking the jack plate off?
Also what makes me believe it was done during install as well is that even with the cracks, there is absolutely no transom flex with pushing up and down on the motor.
Update: The welder came by and checked out the boat, he believes the cracks were caused when the jack plate was installed due to the transom plate which goes from bolt to bolt. The plate stuck out...
BDPIL - Yeah I agree, don't wanna have to deal with this again!
To be honest that's what I was thinking because I haven't even taken it out on the water and I always use a transom saver from the trailer to the motor when transporting and I only traveled maybe 20...
Ok sounds good, I'm gonna talk to him today and I will mention that to him as well. Ill keep you all posted with the outcome. Appreciate all the help.
Do you guys think it would be best to have both of those plates cut out and replaced and rewelded on or just weld up the cracks?
Sweet, thanks. I will call my welder in town tomorrow and see what he thinks.
2007 Bass Tracker PT190 w/ 2stroke 90HP Optimax, had a 6" Atlas Jack plate installed and it came out really nice but upon further inspection I found some cracks which didn't seem to be there before....
Sorry I forgot to include that! Serial #1B262983. The primer bulb I believe is a Mercury OEM bulb, usually I just squeeze the primer once and its already hard and can't be squeezed again. I believe...
Hey everyone I'm new to the forums, a little info about the boat, it's a new to me as of beginning of this year. Its a 2007 Bass Tracker PT190 w/ 2 Stroke 90 Optimax. The problem I've been having...
