I think you need a operators card to drive boat in Ontario. 10 hp and under are exempt from boating registration licenses but anything with motor requires competency card. We used to use 9.9 lids...

What was the fix? Friction ring? It didn't fix mine, other then cleaning each use.

HAd this issue awhile, can clean and re grease the thing but it always returns in a couple hours of use. Cast out , close bail by hand and try to turn reel and its bound up. Other then throw this...
