I take .250 tape and put 5 -6 strips on the back of a metal piece of flat stock I have. I use a razor to cut them down the middle and use the 1/8 inch wide pieces.

I fish Rico's and Yellow Magic's. Throw them on a 6'8" med custom build with a St. Croix blank on 30lb braid. Both baits walk great.
I have built 4 rods with them. I really like them but if you want to keep cost down I go with EVA. I still like cork also. I don't think it makes a difference but they sure feel right when you use...
Hands down one of the best.
Just poured a Gentleman Jack.... :beers:
Just ordered this past week. Have ordered from Get Bit in the past. They have great customer service and great shipping rates.:thumb up2:

Thinking of doing a trip for some blue gills and red ears. Is end of May about right for the spawn? What part of the lake has the best size fish? I was thinking a black pop-eye tipped with a wax worm...
I used to buy the Chatterbuzz at Dixie Marine. When they stopped getting them my brother and me just started making our own. We make them in 3/8 but we made it more compact at the head of the bait....
