on my 266 there was a glassed in 2x4 under the front deck that i cut through- just re braced each end and no problems or weakness the last 5 years Steve
i have a 266 Sprint w a 115 xs Merc. The boat also has a 6 in jackplate and max i have seen is 53mph-gps. usually cruises about 47 at 5k rpm. I have a 20p Laser II on it.
