I use the Ultrex HS for my bow units heading. I do not recall losing heading when the Ultrex was not deployed.

I use the Ultrex HS for my bow units heading. I do not recall losing heading when the Ultrex was not deployed.
I used a combination Dek-It mount and 12" Ram mount to raise mine. I just push it down to rest on the deck when I am moving. Once I stop to fish just grab it and raise it back up to vertical.

I run both Mega 360 and LiveScope with no frequency issues, but I run the 360 on the Ultrex, and the LS is mounted on its own pole, but it's only about 2 foot from the Ultrex.
There may be an easier way, but what I did was download the navigation data from each unit to a SD card. I then used Humminbird PC to combine all the data and export it back to a single SD card and...
I mounted my 360 on starboard side so the cover would fit. I just removed the factory Ultrex stabilizer and have a troll tamer on order.
I would give up every piece of electronics on my boat before I gave up the Ultrex. Spot lock is the best fishing invention since the hook.
I have a 14' 16,000 lb Texas Pride with 36" walls. One of my favorite toys I ever bought. It was bumper pull when I bought it, but I had it converted to gooseneck a few years ago. Use it for...
If you network the two units together, then you can share transducers and waypoints.
I would have one unit for M360 (or MegaLive) and the second unit for map/sonar
I use the same card to update all my units. Each one will recognize the correct update.
I strongly recommend you backup your navigation data. I bricked a unit once and lost what was on it.

I run my 3 Helix units networked. SI transducer at transom is connected to an SI unit at the console. I can read SI at the bow unit because the bow Helix is networked to the SI at console. With the...

I have G2Ns networked with a G4N and everything works. Network is the same. From what I understand the G4N just does not require the black box for NMEA.
You do not need the GPS/heading sensor. The Helix has GPS built in. The advantage of the GPS/Heading sensor puck is it moves the GPS position when you mark a waypoint from the Helix position to the...
Mine is only two months old but no issues so far. Works great with my Livescope. 360 to find the structure, LS to find the fish.
Those look correct. A couple of other places to look for interference are the connection between the batteries and battery charger, and fuse in TM (at least for an Ultrex)
Mine had TM interference...
What transducer are you using with the front unit? Is it the one that came with the unit, mounted on the trolling motor?
The reason I ask is because the included transducer is meant to be mounted...
The connector is the same, however I do not believe the gimbal is the same. I know the Gimbal on my Helix 10 and Helix 12 G2Ns will not interchange. The 12 is wider. Maybe the G3N is different?
If you mostly deepwater fish the Ultrex is worth every penny. I love mine cause I mostly fish Cranks and Carolina deep.
I do plan on buying a set of Talons this year for the spawn time brush...
I am usually pulling a trailer behind my truck, either boat, tractor, horses, etc. And it really pisses me off how many people see "trailer=he must be driving slow", then speed up to pass me. Once...
Yes, it should. Or at least mine does.
I ran two new 10 gauge wires from battery disconnect in rear to behind the front panel and tied in the livescope and 93 to them. Not sure how much amp draw the factory wires up there can handle. I...
I can verify this works. Took my boat out today after updating the Ultrex. Now there is an option in network menu to select IPilot Link as GPS/Heading Sensor source. I selected it and it kept my...
I mounted the black box in the starboard storage locker. Remove the starboard running light and there is a wire tube that comes from the front access panel area. The only wire in this tube is for the...
I just mounted mine yesterday in my Z185. I mounted the black box in the right side storage compartment. There is a tube that runs from behind the bow panel to the starboard running light. Removed...
Shows you which way your boat is pointing when you are moving at low speed or sitting still. I find it useful when fishing offshore structure. Helps me determine where the structure or ledge is in...
