I switched the LSS-1 transducer to a new/used one. And it works now!

Looks like a bad transducer.

Is there a way to fix a transducer?

I always had good luck with ranger parts. A little pricey but the people on the phone have been very helpful. I have called them up in a panic regarding bearings, brakes, cool hubs, etc. very helpful.

I used the 3M Black Weather Strip Adhesive as recommended here. Works great.
