I'm a Yamaha fan and from what I've seen at the boat shop I would stay away from Yamaha oil, it's well know to carbon up the rings etc.

As good as they come, mine gets around four miles to the gallon at 3000 rpm on a 20ft skeeter.
Have run both and I like car tires on my dual axle trailer just fine.
Jr's boat is in very good shape and will haul butt! This is a must see boat!
Had my talon three seasons, the supplied remote hanging from my belt loop works just fine for me.
Make sure that the cowling drains are clear of trash.
Looks light the tough coat to me.
heard it was a simple o-ring fix, also added internal oil cooler to keep mains cooler. hear say from dealer.
pump primer bulb until hard, give engine alittle throttle,choke until the motor runs, choke as needed to keep motor running.
no to yamalube, makes alot of carbon, have seen rings jacked out due to this problem while using yamalube. use pennzoil or amsoil, just my 2 cent!! no hate mail please!!!

i found the oil i run in my grandpa's garage. it was in a dusty box marked as"good stuff". i blew the dust off the bottles, they were called 3 in 1 oil!! man, what a hard time i had squizzing out...

replace water pump and gear oil, use a good fuel add. like pri-g.
champion has a single piece sparkplug for the 5.4!!
Get some redeye bearing buddy protectors, there great, easy to read and don't sling grease.
