also be sure check valve in oil hose is not stuck or sticking open letting too much oil in fuel make sure check valve in block working correctly relieving pressure engine off
well good news 16 came on xr6 prob what you got .074 are std size for all 6cyls on xr book say jets should be good to 5000 would not go any lower than .070 lean it down at idle with air adj screw or...
whats num on carb,wm,wh,wmv-??????? what came from fact in them/ever been changed off another powerhead????I prolly got some jets just wanna be sure going right way for right mtr and carb combo

pull that hose off lower carb go run it/ should be 143 thermos
would insure adequate oil flow to pump and engine tank eliminate air voids in system shouldn't cause more smoke just reprime of system/ check and see if powerhead has thermal valve on stbd cyl head...
