I am installing a WP gauge also. I called G3 and they don't advise using any aftermarket parts but it will not void the warranty unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused the failure....
I am going to be installing a 6" jackplate on my HP170 wondering if anyone else put a plate on theirs and if you have any recommendations on settings?
I installed the Trolleze last year. Had no issues because it fit in between the 2 cross members but my rod locker is in the middle so I could see them before cutting. I don't know if you can see it...

Just wondering what props you guys are running on the HP170's with a 90 hp and what speeds you are getting? I have a 13 1/2 x 18 and my top end is 40 mph with the motor set on the 3rd hole.
I put a trolleze tray in my 2005 HP170 and had no issues. As long as you do not cut into the brace it will not void your warranty. Interested to see how the plate helps your top end and performance....
