I use mine for chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, mid depth cranks (6-10ft), Whopper ploppers, and magic swimmers.
switched over to the weedless vmc neko and have not lost a single fish
love my perfect pitch for frog fishing. No issues getting fish out of the grass on Guntersville and Chickamauga
the zodias is a solid option at ~$200 but the expride is amazing for under $300. The 72mh is extremely versatile
i really like my dobyns 684cb for ima flits, vision 110's and the vision 110jr +1's. Also doubles as my popper rod. The 685cb or 635cb may be great options as well
Sent my 72mh in at the end of Nov last year and they sent me a new replacement. They estimated around 5 months but it received it in 3 months. It just depends on which model you have
15-20lb sufix 832 ghost with 6-8lb sniper leader
i throw them in the summertime and in the fall
that st croix avid pearl rod is really nice. Got one off the forums for my gf a few years back. I haven't used it myself but it feels light in my hands. I put one of my tat sv's on it and she's set
Yep I got my warranty invoice from Shimano on 12/7 with an eta of 5/25 and just got my 72mh back on 3/6. Hope you don't have to wait much longer
saw this one at baitshack marine a couple years back...love the color combo
I don't fish swimjigs that often except for one or two trips a year to guntersville but I've done well fishing a 1/4 swimjig with my nrx 853 on the edges of the grass and around docks. I paired the...
I also have the 72mh expride and I feel like the medium power would suit you better for those applications. I’ve owned quite a few Dobyns before and found the sensitivity a little lacking. I switched...
I agree with JCB that the chronarch mgl feels big. I didn’t expect that either. I don’t have a ton of time with the 70mgl or chronarch mgl yet but I prefer the 70mgl due to its size. However, both...
Used mine for the first time this weekend and I agree with the above comments. Super smooth and casts really well. Never fished the curado 70 but I have a scorpion 70 that is comparable. Reminds me...
should be receiving mine tomorrow and plan on fishing it this weekend. Will let you know how I like it. The reel test on youtube has a video on initial impressions and a side by side casting...
Exactly what i was looking for. Thank you bassjam
Looking to pick one up for dropshot. Anyone use the 6'10ml with a 3/8oz dropshot weight? Wondering how the tip is on that rod
Any info would be great, thanks
I’ve had the same issue with my older super duty and my curado e grips. I used rubbing alcohol to clean my super duty and it seemed to do the job. Hope that helps
Check with Brandon at Baitshack marine. He’s very knowledgeable and might be able to set up a test drive for you. I have a Sabre and it handles Lanier pretty well for its size
dont throw the swim jig a whole lot since I fish Lanier mainly but i did throw a 1/4 swim jig + trailer on an NRX 853 with 40lb braid on guntersville and it performed well. I had no problem getting...
owner shakey football
Been using straight 12lb sniper for my mid depth cranking on Lanier. No issues for me unless I don’t check and retie after being stuck in the rocks
Brandon at bait shack marine is a stand up guy. He has a caracal now I believe and a puma ftd before that. Good luck with your search those are two that I'd look at as well
