Not sure how you improve the ride of the Eyra...Seems to me it was like an STS from the start.
When it doesn't work, find the relay...mine was attached to the inside of the transom. Tap on it lightly with small block of wood or a piece of plastic. Try the jack plate after tapping. That is...
So glad I'm average...
BCB = can you comment on the fishing difference between the 2? Stability difference?
I love my Eyra but getting older my balance isn't as good as it used to be. Thinking the Caracal STS will be my last boat before retirement...awaiting real world results before I make a move.
Suggestion...make em big enough to hold a throwable cushion, rope, fire extinguisher, other safety gear.
I have used plano 3600's before....think that's the number of the box.
Mine have been fine in all boats I've owned for 30+ years.
My 2018 has it too..
WOO HOO!!!!
I've had both manual and hydraulic (tho not on a Puma). I look at like 4 wheel drive in your truck...the ONE time you need it, you wish you spent the money when you bought it. Just my 2 cents.
Nice...you will find similarities in the ride of the Eyra from your Champ. Not the same, but you will soon see what I mean. Have fun!!!
Thank you for the update Chris
Elwood I have a H J/P and it didn't really seem to help much with the Bravo. Now with the 3 Fury it absolutely without doubt does. Raise to 7, drop the hammper, begin lowering and you're there. I...
Chris...same for me on the day I tried my 27 Bravo/18 Eyra combo...couldn't figure the hole shot out. I put the 25 Fury 3 back on and let it ride. This same prop (Bravo) was the real deal on my...
Raise the plate to say 7. Dump the throttle...as soon as you do, start to lower the jack plate. This should solve your cavitation problem.
Chris - I've owned a 2012 and now 2018 Eyra with 2s Mercs, 250hp. I currently run a 25 3 blade fury. I have a 27 Bravo I with the 8 vent holes that I have tried and didn't care for on the 2018 rig...
I'm on my 2nd one...I owned a 2012 and currently own a 2018. I fish Lake Havasu a lot which is a pretty big body of water for the lake and a couple of river systems, the Colorado River and the Bill...
Good stuff fo sho!
I've used everything from cardboard boxes to tupperware to the 5 Plano 3600s stacked neatly. My current organization involves a stolen rubbermaid from the kitchen with the items I most use inside of...
Ya that don't look right.
4s...2s are dinosaurs.
Well I can tell you this...Saturday we had our derby on Havasu. Havasu runs runs north to south. Prefish on Friday we had winds sustained at 15=20 with gusts to 40...blowing north to south. This...
I kept the Jag out of the equation on purpose as I knew that one would dominate however I do appreciate the Hybrid being considered as that slipped my mind.
I know I had a 203 Champ move past me...
So we all know BCB run good and run good on smooth to ripple water.
Which model(s) run the fastest with the least amount of kidney crippling in rough water?
The rough water I'm taking about is...
