To my understanding not many know of this fix including me before I found out. Some have decided to live with it. Not me.
A "rooster rooter" is a flat piece of abs plastic that is mounted or sandwiched in between the top plate and the lower portion of the 3 in 1 ducer. It even comes with slightly longer mounting screws...
Man
that looks sweet. Lots more room now. Don't have to lean in so much now.
Way Cool. Looking into getting the bottom tier only for my RT 178. My Ranger Aluminum bass boat. So what are the light kits for if you don't mind?
I have RT 178 and recently started to use the front right side compartment as a cooler- the one in front of the drivers console. Seems to hold ice a pretty long time but the lid needs to have some...
Really good information and thanks. I will be orderding the tray soon. Dremel and a carbide tipped blade, here I come.
Frabill nets fold up really nice and are made of high quality.
You did a awesome job here. I too am in the process of purchasing a newer tray with the cup/ tool holder from Ranger for my 2013 RT178. About a $100.00 bucks. Once I get it I will be installing it...

Please share with photos if possible.
Thanks
2013 RT178- 60HP...

Big ass Fish
Yes. It goes hooked to the eye on the trailer just below the winch. Purpose of it is to serve as a secondary safety measure in case the main one breaks from the actual winch.
