Forgot to add this pic from October, no big reds this year, but managed a PB 44" King from the yak
Not to mention that shark fishing in Myrtle Beach is illegal, he may want to reconsider posting illegal activity on YouTube lol
I'd say sensitivity is pretty good for a glass rod. It's definitely got plenty of backbone for deep cranking though.
I would go with the 7'2" for what you want. Originally not a glass rod guy myself either but I love the way both of those feel. I tried them both for traps and actually like the 7'2 better for them....
Second the 884 as a frog rod. I tried using it for a swimbait rod but didn't like how short the handle is compared to other swimbait rods. It is my primary frog rod now and makes a dang good buzzbait...
The blanks are pretty close to the same diameter at the reel but towards the tip the 7'6" is a little thicker which leads to it being a little stiffer. And the balance point of the 7'2" is about 4.5"...
Don't know the weight difference but I personally use the 7'6" for chatterbaits, big spinnerbaits, and 8.0 size squarebills and the 7'2" is my regular squarebill rod. The 7'6" does feel like half a...
Around 200 are removing hunt and just over 100 are removing fishing. Out of over 700 stores, that's far from all. Also the hunt/fish categories in those stores represented a small fraction of total...

Caught quite a few of these guys the past couple weeks as they start to move back offshore
On the FB page the tentative schedule is Murray 2-15, Hartwell 3-7, Santee 3-28, wateree 5-16, and two day on Clark's hill 9/19-20
There are 38 left company wide because they are on clearance, what is the closest store to you and I can see what I can help with.
My guesses are the SLX in a 70 size with a MGL spool and the Curado K in a 150 size with the MGL treatment as well if the internet is to be believed lol
West marine carries a house brand that is 1050cca, mine is on 2.5 years now and still going strong cranking my opti. It was 170 and they have 20-30% off sales on batteries every now and then
Hello everyone, I just recently relocated to Fayetteville and I'm looking to repower my stratos. Does anyone on here knows of any good shops around within 2-3hrs that I could check for a low hours or...
There's a shop up in Aberdeen, NC that specializes in discontinued and hard to find LC baits called Aberdeen Bait and Tackle. I would try giving them a call 910-944-6016
Got out today, three hours inland is better than a mile off the beach. Been telling people for the past week to get out. No point in risking it, mother nature is not the one to gamble against. I hope...
Dumbest thing I've ever seen and it feels even worse when the guys using those are killing the Spanish off the piers and you can't buy a bite. Not that I have any experience with that kind of thing...
I agree with the op, watched about 30 minutes of it and that’s about all I could stand. I could care less to watch 50 guys fishing nothing banks with whopper ploppers, I could do that at any lake or...
If I remember correctly they are different weights. I think the green ones are heavier but I'm sure reelex or bantam1 will be along shortly to give a definite answer.

Here's a cheat sheet for the wire size
The waterway has some but it's really tough, the river is better but it takes some time to figure it out. Lake Tabor is about 30 minutes away and lake Waccamaw is about an hour away for some really...
Usually ~125-175 depending on the size of the boat. This weekend for us is 15 people at $175 each. The bigger ones are 30-40 people at $125 each.
Half days are near shore (10-15mi) catching black Sea bass and sharpnose shark here. And usually people are pretty lucky to actually catch a keeper sea bass on them. I'll be going to the Gulfstream...
Guess what I've seen with my two eyes isn't as true as what the BBC army believes :confused2: but then again I forgot everyone here commenting has been in that shop and heard the employees tell you...
