1987 had wood transom. some late 1988 went protruded and 1989 on all protruded.:smile:
Parts abound/are plentiful for the old crossflows.....:smile:

Have you verified proper size orifices(jets) are in carbs? Verified no one has hogged them out?

Bad advice for a recreational motor. Creates a fire safety issue. No way to shut it off in case of a catastrophic engine failure or fire and you cant get ignition turned off , ect.. Vacuum pumps work...

You did replace the 6 rubber water deflectors like Fred recommended? Those old ones look swollen/restrictive.

The 1st one the primer solenoid needs an o ring kit/rebuild kit
the 2nd one is the fuel inlet barb/its cracked and leaking/common issue. Needs a new carb bowl.
If you are in Indy sat and sun....come over to Dayton by 2 pm and you can have the trim assembly.(free) I have to work and you need it and wife wants my stuff out of the barn,,shed,,basement....lol
Crappie starting to bite good as are the yellow perch. A few pike being caught.
