I tried a pneumatic brake fluid bleeder with minimal success. Finished the job manually, used some tubing and a clear pop bottle.
I betting the slider pin is sticking.
Another option is mount the springs on top of the axle.

I tried one of the pneumatic bleeders, but could not bleed the brakes completely. Problem was it could not make an airtight fit at the bleeder valve.
Then used the above method and it worked...
You may need a new damper shock.
