If you don’t mind asking what part of the lake were you fishing? I tried areas from the 64 bridge riprap through the S turns and up the river.
Cat in the Bag bait boxes, I keep them setting around the shed, house, garage and they seem to keep the mice problem under control.

My first truck was a 75 Silverado, a tough truck. Loved that big bench seat, it became our traveling vehicle. Then I had a 84 K5 would like to have either one of them back.
I usually fish alone so I keep it on the back deck, when I want or need it I move to the front.
I am way out of touch with the shoe world. I been wearing deck shoes on the boat and around the house for the last 40 years. I just don’t like barefoot or flip flops on the boat.
When I checked into triple towing in North Carolina last year, I was told I needed a class A license.
I keep the small bait boxes setting around the outside and inside of the garage. And so far I haven’t had any trouble with mice.
There is a Quality Inn and Suites at the #1&55 junction in Apex. Never stayed there and don’t really know how boat or people friendly it is. But it isn’t far from Harris or Jordan.

Just a question from someone that doesn’t crappie fish. Why wouldn’t you keep any fish from that area? I pretty much fun fish and release all I catch.
