I have a triton 18tx which is just like the RT188 with a mercury 115 pro XS and yes the 23 is the right prop. with a 21 I could turn it 6500rpms, the 22p 6350 the 23 6100 and its the fastest at 50.9...

My boat came with the 2` pitch tempest plus. i installed a 4" block jackplate and was all over the rev limiter. Tried a 23 pitch and only was turning 6K so went with a 22 pitch turns right at 6300...
