I used a two key ring loops instead of bolts on a utility trailer and worked great. Let's plate swivel instead break off when you scrape. For added measure I added zip ties as well.

I ended up going with the 2-stroke. The boat was in excellent condition and the previous took very good care of it. Hard to find boats in that kind of shape. Also the dealer was great to work...

Can I ask why you would lean towards the 4 stroke?
Thanks.. I'm kind of leaning that direction but didn't know if I wanted to go with the proven performance of the 2 stroke or with the relatively unproven 4.
